It is the time for a real solid commercial forum extensionThere are many companies that develop Joomla! extensions. Either GPL one or sucking one. Yes, the extensions that does not use the GPL sucks and I am not proud of using some of them. However there is no commercial (whatever GPL or not) extension for a forum. A one tat rocks and has no competition, like the JomSocial does in the social networking sphere. And I am really, really surprised that no commercial developer had found this niche. Quality in JED??? - No wayDevelopers are developers, that's it. They could be good or bad, but there is one pretty common thing. Significant part of them are really bad in marketing. In JED there are many (and I mean many) extensions with the description of this one. Come on JED team, do not allow such entries. How anyone could understand what this extension is about? Can you? Developers misleading their customers in JED
I am pretty sure the JED team is taking care responsibly about such issues and they are not able to track all of the extensions and their licenses however I reported one of these extensions weeks ago and nothing changed. So which are the extensions: |

Today I noticed two extensions in JED listed as GPL. These were also listed as commercial (which is fine), however after checking the developers web sites, I noticed that the information there conflicts with the main principles of GPL. While other bloggers may not disclose the extensions and the developers, I will do it. I will do it as it is not correct to lie your customers.
